BlackLine — AI Answer Engine
Shipping a production AI Answer Engine for a fintech audience, responsibly
Leading a generative AI feature for BlackLine.com meant earning trust before earning adoption because the platform serves finance and accounting teams who can't afford confidently wrong answers.
I defined and led the AI Answer Engine project from 0 → 1, starting with the responsible AI framework: scoping what the system should and shouldn't answer, and establishing model accuracy thresholds and acceptance criteria before feature work began.
Because the product sits on retrieval-augmented generation, validating retrieval quality was central to the work. I built out the acceptance criteria and evaluation process used to sign off on the system before release. Getting there required working as the central point of alignment across Engineering, Design and Legal, navigating data privacy regulations and responsible AI requirements together, and reporting product and KPI performance directly to the Executive team.
Bluebeam — Studio Platform Modernization
Modernizing the platform underneath a high-volume construction SaaS product
Bluebeam's core AEC collaboration platform is used by construction project managers, superintendents, and document controllers to manage drawings, markups, submittals, and field workflows. Reliability and speed aren't nice-to-haves, they're the product.
I led platform modernization work built around a SQL-to-cloud migration and a move to microservices architecture, coordinating engineering, design, and GTM teams through complex dependency sequencing and multi-phase delivery.
That meant working closely with engineering to audit system dependencies, design technical solutions, and sequence a multi-phase rollout that didn't disrupt the distributed construction professionals relying on the platform daily, while building a firsthand understanding of the document-management demands and enterprise reliability standards their workflows required.
Bluebeam — Scrum Delivery Across Teams
Turning interdependent roadmap work into predictable, sprint-ready delivery
As Product Delivery Manager, my job was to sit between the roadmap and the sprint board, making sure ambitious, interdependent initiatives actually became work teams could reliably plan around and finish.
I led delivery execution across multiple agile teams building construction technology products, coordinating complex interdependent initiatives across engineering, design, and GTM. That meant partnering directly with Product Managers to translate roadmap initiatives into sprint-ready work, and actively managing the dependencies and sequencing that connected one team's output to another's input.
A large part of the role was unblocking, facilitating cross-team collaboration to resolve blockers, align competing priorities, and keep delivery consistent against shared objectives, so that Scrum teams could sustain a reliable pace rather than losing sprints to dependency surprises. I carried this same agile discipline forward into every product role since, most recently owning backlog grooming, prioritization, and refinement for Scrum teams at BlackLine, and I hold a Certified Scrum Master credential from the Scrum Alliance.
