I've spent 12+ years building products, most recently in fintech and financial operations software at BlackLine. My career didn't start there, though. It started in UK public service, leading digital services for local government, a national trade department, and Tesco, where I learned to ship products under real constraints: tight budgets, competing stakeholders, and no patience for anything that didn't actually work for the people using it.

That grounding shapes how I approach AI product work now. At BlackLine, I led a production AI Answer Engine from the ground up. Before any feature work started, I scoped the responsible AI framework: what the system should and shouldn't answer, what accuracy threshold it had to clear, and how we'd validate retrieval quality before anything shipped to customers who can't afford confidently wrong answers. The result was a 12% year-over-year increase in demo request conversion.

I work best embedded with engineers, data scientists, and client-facing teams, translating technical capability into product decisions that hold up under scrutiny from Legal, Privacy, and Trust as well as the executive team.
